Update May 4th: Preponderance of evidence now indicates that J.T. Ready was responsible for the shootings; updated post HERE.

This story is getting "curioser" and "curioser". KTAR reports that the 47-year-old Lisa Mederos is not only Ready's girlfriend, but is also his ex-wife. In addition, a search of the Maricopa County Assessor's records gave the owners of the home as Hugo and Lisa Mederos. So what's Hugo's role in all of this??? The Daily Mail just answered that question; even though both Hugo and Lisa are listed as the home's owners, Hugo is now Lisa's ex-husband.
Police believe it is a murder-suicide, with Ready allegedly shooting the victims, then turning the gun on himself. This conclusion is prompted by a report that there was a domestic violence-related incident between Ready and his girlfriend earlier in the day. However, two local media outlets report that posted on J.T. Ready's campaign Facebook page is the following: "Reports are unconfirmed that a cartel assassination squad murdered JT Ready and several of his friends and family this afternoon in Gilbert Arizona. This page's admin will keep you updated of the situation as soon as possible." Nevertheless, Gilbert police Lt. John Lyle said that authorities aren't looking for any outside suspects at this time. The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force has now responded to the scene to assist Gilbert police in their investigation.

A more current video from KNXV:
Ready was a former Marine who headed up the U.S. Border Guard, a militia-style group that routinely performed armed patrols in the southern Arizona desert. They conducted themselves in a scrupulously legal faction, interacting regularly with Border Patrol officials. Upon encountering illegal aliens, they would detain them, but give them food and water if needed before turning them over to immigration officials. More recently, Ready was a candidate in this fall's election for Pinal County Sheriff, and had run unsuccessfully for other public offices previously, including the Mesa City Council in 2006.
J.T. Ready was also once a political protege of former Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce. In fact, Pearce, who is Mormon, was present at the baptism of Ready into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2003. Ready has since lost interest in Mormonism, but it's not known if he's still on the membership rolls. When Ready joined the National Socialist Movement, Pearce began to distance himself from Ready, but it didn't help Pearce in his recall election in 2011 as he was still defeated by a more moderate Mormon, Jerry Lewis. Groups favoring illegal immigration were instrumental in Pearce's defeat. Russell Pearce has now issued a statement condemning the shooting, explaining that Ready was once a good and decent person whose heart changed and who allowed darkness to take his life over when he began to associate with the more despicable groups in society.
The story is being discussed on Stormfront, but Stormfronters are split on whether it was a murder-suicide or a cartel hit. A thread on VNN Forum indicates support for Ready with the exception of Donald F. Pauly, who although he professes to be pro-White, spends a lot of time denigrating White activists like Edgar Steele. Reaction has now been posted by one of Ready's associates, NSM Region 11 Director SSgt. Harry L. Hughes III, who has accompanied Ready on several border patrol operations. Ready was once a member of the NSM, but left the organization in 2010.
This post will continue to be updated until the story settles down.
