In a phone interview with the L.A. Times on Monday October 18th, Hall called for more water conservation and affirmed his belief that all non-whites should be deported. "I want a white nation," he said. "I don't hide what I am, and I don't water that down."
Jeff Hall has been primarily campaigning through direct one-on-one personal outreach by handing out business cards to prospective constituents. However, it's been reported that he has not shown up at any candidate forums, most notably a forum jointly sponsored by because it was sponsored by the League of Women Voters and a Latino community group. Perhaps Hall decided it would be a waste of time to attend such a forum where attracting support would be improbable, but anti-racists and Jewish extremists have seized upon that as a pretext to question his motives.
Kevin Akin, a member of Temple Beth El in Riverside, said "It looks like he's hoping to get a certain percentage of the vote as an anonymous anti-incumbent and then claim that some percentage of the electorate support the Nazis...He apparently intended to do nothing, just to be a stealth candidate." Rabbi Suzanne Singer, who officiates at the same synagogue, finds the idea of someone affiliated with the movement running for office to be "very, very disturbing", even if the person's not actively campaigning. "I don't think somebody like that should be in a leadership position in our city...I would wonder whether this would be a first step towards trying to eventually gain a position that's more influential or more important", said Singer. But it should be noted that the Temple Beth Al may have a personal axe to grind against Jeff Hall and the NSM, who've demonstrated a couple of times outside their synagogue in protest against their anti-racist (anti-White) activism and their support for illegal immigration in the Inland Empire.
Another Jewish extremist also weighed in. Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at Cal State San Bernardino, said, "We see this from time to time. They push things like school boards — local elections that kind of slip under the radar...It gives them publicity, it gives them a foothold and it gives them an anchor to spew their bigoted opinions in other forums."
Meanwhile, another pro-White candidate in the Inland Empire has set aside his organization's previous differences with the NSM and has reached out to support Hall. Dan Schruender, who's running for a seat on the Rialto School Board, wrote on his blog "I don't know that much about Mr. Hall, but I will say, he's got the right idea. Political power is the key to success, not rallies, although rallies do serve a positive purpose, mainly for recruiting". Schruender was a member of Aryan Nations, but joined the leadership cadre in leaving that organization to form the National Socialist Party of America. Schruender explains some of the background behind that move HERE and HERE. In response to Dan Schruender's olive branch, Jeff Hall posted the following comment (some media outlets accused Hall of "ducking the media"):
Thank you for your kind words. I was not ducking the media or the issue. At the time of the reporters calls I was on a Border Patrol Operation on the Southern Arizona border so phone reception was sketchy. I actually was playing a game of phone tag with her and we never made contact. I just finished an interview with the LA Times on the subject. Funny, If a member of the ADL, La Raza, Brown Berets, Black Panthers, or any other NON-WHITE group runs for office not a single article is printed. Whites are singled out and targeted. I`m proud of who and what I am; a White National Socialist. If you are a racially aware White man or woman, I consider you family in our struggle to preserve and advance our race. If you have any questions contact me. I`m NOT accepting any donations or contributions for my Campaign. Thank you for the support.
Jeff Hall is a proven activist who has stood toe to toe against Brown Berets and other antifa scum despite being outnumbered by as much as 10 to 1. He and some others stood up against antifa who invaded his neighborhood, and herded them out of the area under police supervision. Hall is worthy of support.
