Another Pro-White Candidate Running For Office: A3P Activist Harry Bertram Seeking Election To The Monongalia County Board Of Education In Morgantown, West Virginia
I have belatedly learned of another pro-White candidate who's running for office. Harry Bertram, who identifies himself as a White nationalist and an activist with the American Third Position Party (A3P), is running for a seat on the Monongalia County Board of Education in Morgantown, West Virginia, to be settled at the November 2nd election. This is the second time he's sought election to the board this year; Bertram last ran for a Board of Education seat in May, finishing last but with a credible 1,347 votes. According to Voice of Reason, Bertram has also run unsuccessfully twice for the West Virginia House of Delegates, and has been distributing free copies of Don Wassall’s Nationalist Times to White folks in Ohio and West Virginia since 1985. His official campaign website:
Bertram will work with school board members and the school community in developing programs and strategies that will engage all students in the learning process. He will strive to provide teachers and students with the tools necessary to help them reach their full potential in becoming positive contributors in society and good citizens in their communities. But even more importantly, Bertram wants to reintroduce into the classroom the standards that have made our county great in the first place. Most recently, Bertram appeared on WAJR radio's Morgantown AM program on October 15th, 2010 to discuss the issues along with his opponents Junior Taylor and Mike Kelly; the audio is embedded below (only fair quality; there are some dropoffs):
On October 1st, the DailyMe posted a short article about Bertram, in which he openly identifies himself as a White nationalist, although he states his is NOT a supremacist. The DailyMe writes "Bertram, who first ran for the board in May, drew heat over some of his personal and political stances he brought to the contest then. No, he said, he's not a white supremacist. He's a white nationalist, which he says is someone who celebrates his or her Caucasian lineage. What he really is, he said, is a political conservative -- and he said his views could bring balance to a traditionally liberal school board and district. While he would like to see history and sociology textbooks that give equal voice to those conservative views of life, he would also like to see teachers more attuned to the various learning styles their students bring to the classroom".
Bertram has been active in local Tea Party politics in Morgantown, WV for most of 2010. His activism back in April is further described on White News Now. He also served as the campaign manager for former Republican State House Candidate Ryan Murdough, and his involvement was undoubtedly instrumental in lifting Murdough to a competitive finish, despite the fact that he ended up last in a field of five Republican candidates. The American Third Position launched a money bomb on Bertram's behalf back on September 30th to help him with his current campaign.
You'll note that Harry Bertram doesn't spend much time talking about racial issues. That's because he wants to demonstrate that White nationalists are not obsessed with race; we can be conversant on a wide range of issues. He's also determined not to let opponents or detractors dictate his agenda. This will serve to further counter negative biases and stereotypes about White nationalism.
Like April Gaede in Kalispell, MT, Harry Bertram is more interested in living White than talking White. And that's not a bad thing.
