Shooter At U.S. Holocaust Museum In Washington DC Tentatively Identified As 89-Year-Old "White Supremacist" James W. Von Brunn

The Times of London, which has a reputation for reliable journalism, has become the first known mainstream media source to release the identity of the person shooting two individuals at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. on June 10th, 2009. They report that the gunman, who is now in custody, is believed to be 89-year-old James W. Von Brunn, and identify him as a "white supremacist". Police say that Von Brunn was shot in the head by one of the museum's guards, but is still alive. Ironically, the shooting comes just two days before the birthday of Holocaust diva Anne Frank.

An anti-White progressive website called The American Prospect provides more details on Von Brunn. They say he operated the website, which may be off line now. If the site is off line, click HERE for the Wayback version last updated Feb 2008. In addition, they identify Von Brunn is the author of a pamphlet entitled "Kill the Best Gentiles: A new, hard-hitting exposé of the JEW CONSPIRACY to destroy the White gene-pool." He is a Holocaust revisionist who wrote on Arsenal of Hypocrisy that Hitler's worse mistake was that he didn't gas the Jews.

Other pertinent information about Von Brunn: He holds as B.S. degree in journalism. During World War II, he was a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve, operating a PT boat, and receiving a commendation and four battle stars. For twenty years he was an advertising executive and film producer in New York City. He is a member of Mensa, the high-IQ society. In 1981 Von Brunn attempted to place the treasonous Federal Reserve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent, citizens arrest. He was tried and convicted of attempted kidnapping in a Washington, D.C. Superior Court, and sentenced to 11 years imprisonment, ultimately serving 6.5 years. He is now an artist and author and lives on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

As for the shooting itself, here's an Associated Press news video:

The Washington City Paper reports that around 2:45 p.m., Mayor Adrian Fenty convened a short press conference on the Holocaust Museum shooting. Fenty confirmed that a single shooter entered the main entrance to the Holocaust Museum and immediately opened fire. A security guard returned fire. The gunman was hit. The gunman, who was not officially identified at the press conference (but has since been tentatively identified as Von Brunn) has been taken to G.W. Hospital and is in critical condition. The security guard who was shot lingered in “grave condition” for a while, and has since died. He has not been identified. A third person sustained minor injuries in the shooting, cut by broken glass according to Newsnet14.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says the gunman appeared to have acted alone. Lanier goes on to state: “Immediately upon entering, he was engaged by security guards and fire was exchanged.” She added that a city police unit was about a block away when the call went out and responded to the scene. Park Police also responded. The immediate area around the museum will be closed for “an extended period of time.” William Parsons, the museum’s chief of staff, says the museum was full at the time of the shooting, estimating the attendance at “a couple thousand.”

A witness, who identified herself as 19-year-old Maria without providing a last name, told CNN she heard five shots and saw a security guard lying wounded on the ground. Dave Pearson, a sixth-grade teacher in the Washington area, said he was on the museum's fourth floor when he heard a loud noise. And a woman who did not give her name said that she understood the shooting happened inside the museum near the security checkpoint at the entrance.

The FBI said it will be assisting in the investigation. "The Federal Bureau of Investigation has sent members of its National Capital Response Squad, including agents and team members on SWAT, Evidence Recovery and the Joint Terrorism Task Force to provide on-scene support," said John Perren, the special agent in charge of the Washington Field Office's Counterterrorism Division. "The situation is fluid and therefore no other statements will be made at this time."

Political Prognosis: Fallout can be expected to be directed towards gun owners and White nationalists. This shooting undoubtedly will spur more liberal calls for increased gun control; the Brady Campaign is already hollering. Already there is legislation in committee calling for the no-fly list to be migrated directly into the NCIC database, so if a prospective gun buyer is on the no-fly list, he will not be allowed to complete the purchase.

But greater fallout may be in store for White activists. Already, Bill White and Hal Turner have been legally targeted because of their Internet postings. Thus it is possible for other White activists to have their Web postings scrutinized more thoroughly, and even be questioned about them. Pro-White literature distribution is likely to trigger a stronger response from authorities. Perhaps Von Brunn, at the age of 89, wanted to go out with a final, defining act of rebellion against ZOG. Von Brunn would have been better off if he had protested the Holocaust Museum the same way the Illinois National Socialist Front protested the new Skokie Holocaust Museum a couple of months ago.

This is the kind of activity that George Lincoln Rockwell was alarmed about and didn't want to see - White people going off doing senseless acts. He formed the American Nazi Party for them to join to focus that frustration from the White masses into positive action.

Anonymous - Exactly. The potential for backlash against us as a result of this act is high. It would have been better had he not shot anyone.
