American National Socialist Workers Party (ANSWP) Takes Credit For Another Balloon-Borne Swastika Operation In Portland, Oregon

For the second time in 2008, the swastika flew proudly over the city of Portland, Oregon - via balloon. And ANSWP Commander Bill White confirms that it was an ANSWP operation. Media stories published by KOIN Channel 6 in Portland on August 8th, 2008 and again on August 9th. Also discussed on the Vanguard News Network Forum.

Several large helium-filled balloons with swastika flags attached were observed flying over the area on North Interstate and Skidmore in north Portland. Police intervened and took them down. Now the FBI is investigating, calling it a potential "hate" crime.

Another one was seen near the Ross Island Bridge along Southeast Powell Thursday. KOIN news video from August 9th embedded below (the reporter mistakenly credits another organization, the National Socialist Movement):

The ANSWP previously launched a balloon swastika operation on February 26-27, 2008 in the Tigard area, just south of Portland.
